Trace Residency
Trace offers 1 to 3 month residencies for artists and creative practitioners across disciplines. Residents gain access to a shared studio and gallery space, and an opportunity to create, collaborate and learn from fellow artists.
You are an artist or creative practitioner seeking time, space, and community to develop your work, share your process, and exhibit in Mumbai.
Situated in the heart of South Mumbai, the open studio has a communal table for artists to work and learn from each other. Window seats and quiet corners are available to those who prefer some solitude as they work on their next masterpiece.
Adaptable display shelving, large gallery walls and specialized lighting transform the studio into a gallery space.
Each resident designs and leads workshops. These sessions are a chance to share skills, spark conversations, and explore new possibilities through collaboration.
Artists-in-residence extend their practice beyond the studio by hosting workshops, talks, and events inviting the public to know more about their craft.
Within the residency, artists connect through critiques, presentations, and informal gatherings, creating a supportive network of dialogue and collaboration.
